Luggage Limit Reminder

Denis Private Island has issued a reminder that the luggage restrictions on scheduled Air Seychelles flights to the island, and guests are urged to pack light. 

Owing to space restrictions, there is a soft baggage only allowance of 15 kgs per person. Excess luggage is subject to space availability only and there is no guarantee that excess luggage will board the same flight as the passenger.

On Friday the 16th October, 15 passengers were going through the usual check-in process to board for their Denis Private Island trip, however, the guests were asked to make their way to a mini-bus as there would be a slight diversion prior to boarding.

In the last week of September 2015, Mason's Travel, along with representatives from the Seychelles Tourism Board as well as local hospitality establishments, set-off on the The Seychelles Islands Nordic Roadshow.

Visiting Stockholm (Sweden), Helsinki (Finland), Oslo (Norway) and Aarhus (Denmark), a presentation aimed at Travel Agents, Tour Operators and MICE Agents was held in each of the cities.

Visiting Couple Lands a Pair of Black Marlin

Recently,  Mr. & Mrs. Jacq - who were visiting Denis Private Island from France - set out aboard the island's private fishing vessel  Lady Claire for a half-day (4 hour) fishing adventure.

With Denis Private Island's expert fishing guide, Rolly, who has been on the island for about 20 years, it wasn't long before they caught their first black marlin. And not long after, the couple had landed their second black marlin for the day.

Noddy Update from Cousine Island

This sea-bird season has been a particularly tough one compared to other years, with chicks being especially hard hit. 
 
Shortly after the chicks had hatched this year, the adult lesser noddies disappeared for sometime and many little chicks died in their nests from starvation.

Further to our blog post on 18 September, Banyan Tree Seychelles has announced that the current works to renovate and upgrade their Saffron Restaurant will be extended for a further 2 weeks.

Maintenance to this restaurant is now scheduled to be completed by mid-October 2015. This activity will result in no inconveniences towards any guests in terms of noise.
